Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope your day is happy and bright as we remember the reason for the season, JESUS, and the hope He brings!

Our family sat down together and recounted the goodness of the Lord this year--although I know we didn't remember everything.

Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Merry Christmas and don't forget to thank and praise the Lord for all that He is and does!

My Christmas Challenge

I'm going to be doing something different for Christmas this year. Most years I go caroling with my church but of course, this year most everybody has had their holiday plans changed or interrupted in some way. This year the Lord has been showing me how I need to improve my witnessing to others--especially co-workers. I got thinking about Christmas and the real reason for the season. There's nothing wrong with decorating, sending gifts to each other, and having a Christmas dinner, but sometimes the festivities overshadow the nativity and the reason for celebrating Christmas--Christ's birth. This year I want to write my testimony and share it with a co-worker who's unsaved and has been on my heart for some time. I'm not knocking anyone who shares the Gospel with everyone they meet, but the Lord gives different people different gifts, and some people are just better orators than others. I personally am a shy and awkward orator and prefer to share the Salvation message through text, poems, and cards. Don't misunderstand me, I have and will witness verbally, but I think the Lord gives us each different gifts so we can reach different people.

The Best Gift Ever Given!

Jesus gave us the best gift of all--eternal life! He payed the price for our sins and bore the wrath of God by being the Ultimate sacrifice. All we have to do to have eternal life is receive His gift, confess our sin, forsake it, and ask Him into our heart to save us.

If you've received this gift then you can best thank the Giver (God) by sharing it with others.
